The Secret Beauty Team Behind Kate Middleton's Post-Baby Look

Just
hours after giving birth, the Duchess emerged in a pretty Jenny Packham
dress, post-baby bump barely visible, hair beautifully framing her
face, makeup perfect, and her swaddled baby girl looking angelic. So how
did she pull it off? The Daily Mail reports
on the ace “Team Kate” who immediately snuck into the hospital to
transform Kate into the picture of glowing and glamorous new motherhood.
Ace hairdresser Amanda Cook Tucker
was seen entering the hospital carrying a bag of products and tools to
create amazing hair. Tucker is said to have also done Kate’s hair after
Prince George was born. In both cases Tucker met the baby before the
grandparents. Colorist Richard Ward was most likely on hand to give
Kate’s hair a touch-up, she had reportedly stopped coloring her hair
when she was pregnant.
Kate
sported her signature beauty look, filled-in brows, chocolate brown
liner, rosy cheeks, and soft pink lips. The Duchess is rumored to be a
fan of Bobbi Brown’s products. The Daily Mail reports that she owes her post-pregnancy glow to Bobbi’s Brightening Finishing Powder
($52). Kate is also said to stock up on Bobbi’s eye cream and concealer
to hide any sleep-deprivation due to the baby, and stocks up on her
makeup at Peter Jones department store in Chelsea.
Manicurist
Marina Sandoval has been Kate’s go-to source for beautiful nails for
the past five years, making on-call visits to the Palace. Sandoval
usually paints Kate’s nails in pale pinks and creams. According to
Sandoval, Kate wore a mix of Essie’s Allure polish and Bourjois’ So Laque ultra-shine nail enamel for the royal wedding.
One
thing is for sure, with the help of her beauty team, Kate pulled off
going from the birthing room to camera-ready in a matter of hours. Not
an easy feat.
